Here are some pics of Connor showing off his new skills. He needs to be up
to see Kai and since he's still not stable this poses a problem for me because I
can't do much with my hands full! He has just started to take note of the world
around him MUCH more. He's alert, aware and always knows where I am. He likes
to track me ( food source), loves watching Kai, and howls at his Dad as if to
say: "I'm ready to wrestle too!!". Hw needs to see who's in the room and when
you get him working on his muscles and strength, his facial expressions say it
all.

Connor doing some tummy time.
Connor is enjoying more time on his tummy (sort of) and today he rolled from his tummy to his back!! Very exciting stuff. He is reaching out, sucking on his fingers LOTS and he's starting to learn some "cause and effect" when he reaches for the monkey on his chair to get it to "sing".
He's also growing like a weed. I've embraced it and am now dressing him in 6 months clothes because it's way easier. He was busting out of his onsies and while I get the odd leg and foot out of the 6 month clothes, at least he's not busting snaps on the 3 month clothes. Having an infant forces you to embrace change. They are constantly changing and you are being forced into the next onsie size before you know it. I've also realized that with the second babe, time flies because you have more knowledge and you have the next size of clothes!!! I can't believe we're already into the 4th month and the reward is all the smiles, giggles and
cooing that Connor engages me with.

My first Halloween! I still feel a little badly that I didn't purchase an actual costume for Connor. I am not sure why I didn't, I think it's because I was in a virus haze and my sickness affected my planning and thought processes? Not sure. But he didn't mind. I will have to step it up next year and every year afterwards, homemade costumes here we come!!
But check out our pumpkins! Jeff really stepped it up this year, we had templates, process and execution over 2 nights to make
the "scary" pumpkin on the right and the "silly" pumpkin on the
left. Here's one more picture of the final production on Halloween night...

Ready to go! Kai had a great time out with Dad. Dad also had a great time, thanks to the small portion of Kaulua he recieved at his second house and the full Coffee Crisp he downed half way through. I manned the house- lucky break for me!
Another thing we've done is moved Connor into the sling in the chariot. He likes this way better than the Bivy. He can see what's going on and he's more upright which I think helps with some of his spitting up. He's been out for 2 walks in the sling and not a peep out of him although he's wide awake. This kid needs to see what's going on at all times and
he's happy.
Kai has started to call him, the "blue monster" when he wears this outfit. He may never hear the name Connor in this house except out of my mouth. One minute it's "baby", the next, "poopyman" and most recently, "blue monster". Now, anyone who knows Jeff, knows that he rarely calls friends and family by their first names. I have been subjected to
many nickname variations which arise out of tangents: Gilla, Giller, Giller babe, Ruze, Rusie
and a host of other variations of which are best left unsaid. Kai is Kaiser, Kaisey and most often, "little son".
Jeff is so into nicknames that I have only heard my name out of his mouth a handful of times and usually during a very serious moment. Now when I hear my name out of his mouth, I
get a little gut tightening because something serious must be going on since he's using my real
name!!! So... where's this going?... all of this leads to the fact that Jeff can't come up
with a nickname for Connor other than "Consie wonsie" (so weak) or "Littlest son" (still weak). So there's always a host of random nicknames being trialled.
I will keep you posted but so far nothing has stuck.
