Instead we had Wendy, Steve and Emmett and Joanne and Bridgette join us for an afternoon of pizza, cake and craziness! It was perfect! Kai was spoiled and loved every minute. The party went out with a bang as Connor puked up his pizza and cake in his crib at 1am! Perfect! He was so happy to be eating along with the big kids, that he may have overdone it, and he may have been slightly unsupervised!
Kai got some awesome books, some new car race tracks, a transformer and a very cool Volcano Crater Garden. He also got some hockey gear, two new games and some money for apps on the iPad. So it was like Christmas again and we have some fun things going on here in the House of Q.
Connor handled the party well (minus the voiding of his stomach contents at ungodly hour) but thank god Grandma lizzie had some trains wrapped up for Connor because he was ready to kick up a storm complete with high pitched, break-your-ear-drum-screaming when there was nothing for him to open.
On Sunday, we all went to the Hitman Hockey Game and the boys loved it. Then on Kai's actual birthday (the 28th) we had Crave cupcakes (one of his favorites) and today he went to his very first movie theatre movie, The Nut Job with the grandparents.
So now that Kai thinks life in the House of Q is all about him, we've got to move on...gently... away from doing, eating and following everything Kai likes. Easy right? All I can say is thank goodness the grandparents are here. Grandpa is non-stop entertainment, play and fun for Kai and Connor and Grandma Lizzie is cooking up a storm- another godsend!
So far, we're slowly transitioning into 4 years old!
