Well after 3 weeks, phone tag galore and no email acknowledgement from J.Y. I have connected with the branch manager for a final time as a follow-up.
In short: J.Y. has been coached to be "more cognizant of his tone and style on the phone" and he plans to move forward by, "meeting with people in person to see what they want regardless of what he thinks they want". So watch out young family-types, you'll now be denied in-person next time!
The branch manager was wonderful to deal with and he's offered me a different financial planner to create my "future by design". Sounds excellent! (FJeff-no discounts on service)
RBC has redeemed themselves but if I hadn't said anything J.Y. would still be giving out his mediocre advice: "Spend less than you make" is my favorite (did he review my recent visa statement with lululemon purchase?)
So I'm thinking I could give out a bit of advice like this and call myself a financial planner! Do they make more than mom's?
