The kids were awesome on the flight back- the longest flight of 3 was 11 hours and they both slept for a lot of it. We traveled for almost 30 hours and in the end... Jeff gave up the idea of getting sleep and finally came to accept that he no longer gets the window seat! (duh!)
I pretended I might get to read my new copy of MiNDFOOD magazine but didn't even crack the front page. Connor kept me busy by waking every 2 hours and my head bobbed for the rest of the time. It seems supremely unfair to have access to all the movies you can watch, TV shows galore and not an ounce of focus for it... ahhh flight travel with kids = glorious!
Kai watched the movie, Ice Age 3 times!!! The first time he watched it in English, then when he demanded it a second time, I fumbled with the touch screen and requested the French version and then with the third request, Jeff reached over me and requested Japanese subtitles! So aren't we worldly? We not only teach Kai English... we encourage watching movies in other languages to increase his well-rounded-ness!!
Connor wowed an adoring crowd with his dazzling smile and new lap jumping ability. The adoring passersby wanted to hold him, tickle him and suggested he should be making money for us in commercials! Yes I agree! Time to start earning your keep boys... we'll need to fund your future education somehow after spending your inheritance on this trip!
So this week we'll attempt to get back "on schedule" although it's gonna take a while considering there was a house party last night starting at 1:30am... So tonight I'm sending out an evite: same time, same place... Bring your kids so they can entertain mine!
