He’s saucy, bossy and verging on annoying.
I remember feeling this way last year as we were on the cusp of turning 3. This year it’s 4 and like last year’s 3, I believe 4 will truly kill me.
It’s Kai at his finest, asserting his 4 year old control on us. He often premise’s the day with: “Today I don’t need movies, I’d like TSP, do you know what that is? That is short for movies”. Needless to say, a mere pause on my end results in pouting lips, squinty, liquid eyes and scream-crying!
It’s fun only it’s really not! So after like 10 episodes of this before 9am, I’m ready to OD on caffeine, put me on suicide watch please!
In the end, the only solution is to go back to the drawing board, literally. I’m immersing this kid into crafts, playdoh, lego and any fine motor tricks I can pull out of my OT hat. I am determined to survive 4!
So here are some recent fan favorite Kai-isms.
-“No, never!” (used by Kai as a response to most requests)
Kai: “Momma…”
Me: “One second Kai”
Kai: “I love when you give me one second”
-Kai to Dad: “Don’t tell Mom, it can be our little secret.” (This was whispered to Jeff in an attempt to get dessert)
-“Dad, is there anything I can screw down there? I have my screwdriver.”
-“Momma, you need to cheer on me” (when playing hockey against Dad)
