The other day…I ran. It was Monday and I am still hurting today. I ran for … 9 minutes, my throat was burning, my quads screaming, my knees creaked and my damn watch was ticking away at the slowest pace EVER!!!! It was great! (I think!)
As I left the front door, my send off was Connor screaming and banging on the window, tugging at my heart strings in protest of me leaving… that was the hardest things about it really.
On my run, I had some time to think… running is the easiest thing for a Mom. All you need is like 30 minutes, running shoes and some sort of outfit… so what excuses do I really have?
I do have a confession… While I used to fuel up with a banana, or piece of fruit… Monday’s run was fueled by… some potato chips… horrible (Jeff’s rubbing off on me). While running is convenient, the situation may be far from ideal. I had like 20 minutes and I seized the moment!
So, I may have almost renewed my commitment to fitness. I’ve thought about it lots, I’ve started talking about it with Jeff and we decided ; it’s time to get “serious about fitness” … and then we ate another TimTam and watched another episode of Breaking Bad which was consuming our viewing at that moment. The end of Breaking Bad this week has opened up some serious time…so maybe next week is the week I really get serious about fitness.
