Awesome!
Kai loved it and we were so relieved! In his lesson, there was a 3 year old who cried and screamed and demanded to leave the entire time and Jeff was just so pleased it wasn’t his 3 year old. I only know about the screaming, discontent child because I asked Jeff if all the kids loved it… apparently most but at least one was not a fan of the winter downhill skiing.
Kai learned to ski with one ski on first and then with two on. He still hasn’t learned to stop or turn and I only wish I could’ve watched Jeff race down after Kai after he got too far ahead of him. Kai was supposed to stay between Jeff’s legs but before Jeff knew it, he couldn’t grasp Kai’s coat and he was bombing down the kiddie hill with no ability to stop or turn. Sounds about right!
After the 90 minute lesson, Jeff and Kai had a warm drink and a cinnamon bun… this might’ve been what Kai enjoyed the best… but hey, he’s his mother’s son… as a kid, I really only loved skiing for the picture my parents took of me coming down the hill and the treat at break time.
So I only have 2 indoor pictures of Kai, as Jeff was in charge… but at least I have some proof that skiing took place. There’s 4 more weeks of skiing so I’m sure I’ll get at least one down-the-hill photo.
