- The head coach showed up ready to start scrimmaging, completely disregarding the “organized” handouts he emailed just prior. Jeff suggested maybe they do some introductions and a bit of a warm up. Coach thought that was a good idea. Yah assistant Jeffy!
- By the time the scrimmage started it was 1:4 as 3 players opted for the playground equipment including the head coach’s son, Sam.
- One kid was faster than Kai, Jeff suspected he was a second born as he had moves like he’d been mentoring from his older bro.
- Jeff had to catch himself before yelling, “slide tackle him Kai” as he observed a hesitant little Kai when it came to aforementioned fast kid.
- Kai scored about 4 times on his own net, but received cheers regardless
I was unable to attend the first ever soccer practice because I was attending to little Q boy who’s in the habit of screaming for 1.5 hours at bedtime without an apparent purpose, other than loneliness! Ahh, the kid kills me. See pictures for what he’s up to… he’s so busy that he should be passing out before his head hits the pillow.
