I made it. We made it! North Bay greeted us by losing track of two car seats and a bag full of little people clothes! But we made it!
A note for anyone fearful of losing things...Air Canada gives away brand new car seats and also returns your old ones – so in the end we now have 4 car seats and I am beginning to wonder if Air Canada is plotting to increase the world’s population! How does one fill the 2 extra car seats? Have more little Q babies? No thank you AC- We’re on to you!
In the end we received everything early Friday morning and Connor didn’t mind sleeping in a random outfit.
This time, traveling with 2 little people was “fun”.
The only issues were:
-Not printing my reservation code... not sure what I was thinking on this one... had to wait in line while watching the clock tick slowly towards my boarding time- that was not fun! Note to self: don’t forget to print all documents next time.
-Kai declaring he had to pee as soon as Connor fell asleep in my arms – I had the flight attendant take Kai and I have no idea what happened in that bathroom... probably best!
-Kai biting Connor after I’d finally settled him- just for fun!
-Connor perfecting acrobatic and circus style antics in my lap for 4 hours!
-Using the public bathroom with two children, 2 carry-ons and wrestling Connor to stop touching everything. Try this please! Just once... try to use the toilet with both kids in the stall with you... make sure your youngest has just started walking, is tipsy and very curious! Make sure the oldest is protesting something... it’s a great challenge!
It was all in all, a very smooth day of travel. But I have booked a separate flight back to Calgary while Jeff flies ahead of me with both boys! (I wish! - This is a good idea, thank you for the suggestion from my brother-in-law).
