It started with misguided optimism and ended with bleary, bloodshot vision.
The flight was... one to remember.
Connor slept for 2 hours in the best seat in the house and then decided he hated the bassinette and wanted to get reacquainted with warm night feedings ALL flight long!! Yep! He skipped sleep and opted for noshing or screaming when not firmly latched onto one boob or the other!! He had total control and the only saving grace- Kai slept about half the flight and watched Curious George over and over for the rest of the flight.
Jeff pursued some moaning and groaning during flight, cursing his sons often and developing serious bags under his eyes!!
In summary, Connor was a maniac, Kai was a dream, and Jeff became delirius.
Today- (what day is it?) I feel drunk, incapable of making decisions yet I am responsible for 2 little people. It actually seems illegal and dangerous to be making decisions after being awake for 24hours. But I am, we are! It's laughable and there have been many laughing moments too because if there's one thing delirium brings- its uncontrollable belly laughter at inappropriate times.
So we're here- its beautiful out and the kids are cranky, I'm lightheaded and Jeff's out looking for alcohol on Good Friday!!
All in all a great start to our trip. Nothing quite like a challenge to start us off but we sure are happy to be here!
