So here's some long awaited pics of what we've been doing around here. The to-do lists are never done and I am frequently reminded why many people stay away from the fixer-up-starter-house!! Of course we love our house but man it's a lot of work...
The chimney is half done. It used to be all orange which contrasted horrendously with the grey siding and white stucco we've got going on.
Here's the chimney completed. Now you can see how well the colour blends in. NOTE: Grandpa Checky and Jeff braved the 80km/h winds to paint the top part by climbing onto the roof - all for the concept of my curb-side appeal!
This is the bed at the front of the house. Looking from the front steps to the right. We curved the bed outward after much debate and deliberation.
This is the semi-final product. There's a few final touches to do... but it's coming along nicely. Thank goodness for grandparents or this would have NEVER happened.
Full view of the front... coming along! Look at us handy Quigley clan!
An ode to Checky... look at all those dandelion weeds... there's only a few hundred!
An Ode to Checky #2: check out this handy gate opener... I guess he didn't like risking losing a digit every time he opened our gates. He renovated both gates for us! Thanks Grandpa Checky!
I'm Jill, the proud mamma of 2 young Quigley boys, aged 4 and 1. I am married to Jeff and together we share, embrace and love our House of Q. This blog was created to share the fun, crazy and hilarious trials I experience as the only female in this all Q house. Read along as we renovate our home, raise two little boys and try to have fun doing it.
