While my kids are good they aren’t angels. So for all of you parents wanting some tips, secrets or just the details on our insanity here it is:
Tips for a successful 3 hours in the stroller in the middle of the woods:
1. Bring cookies (preferable homemade chocolate chip)
2. Load up the ipad (spend any amount of $- this is your sanity here!!) and then
3. bring it, the ipad that is (please note: 2 steps here! Essential planning and teamwork required)
4. Tell the toddler “the plan”: “first ski, then swim” (insert with favorable and realistic activity)
5. Allow toddler to watch unrestricted screen time (maybe I am the non-parenting parent?) AND FINALLY…
6. Make Dad tow the kids and ski with a minimum distance of 1km between you and the Q House Boys!
(oops forgot about baby...Tip 7. Feed baby several times before getting him dressed, then once tummy is overlyfilled, jam his limbs into a just-right fitting snow suit (i.e., restricted limb movement) and position him in stroller with arms and feet away from toddler so no scrapping begins on the trails).
All these tips and tricks lead to an excellent day on the trails! Happy skiing!!
